Field Services Network Technician

Operations

WZC Networking is looking for a hands-on, problem-solving Field Services Network Technician to support our growing service delivery team. This is a full-time hourly position that plays a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting wireless networks, ERCES systems, and other infrastructure deployments across various industries.

What You'll Do

  • Travel to client sites to perform wireless and network infrastructure installations
  • Run, terminate, and test CAT6 cabling
  • Mount and configure access points, routers, antennas, and other network equipment
  • Assist with AP-on-a-stick surveys, validation surveys, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Document work performed via mobile app and photo logs
  • Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure scope is met on-site
  • Represent WZC Networking professionally with clients and partners
  • Maintain and return all company-issued tools and equipment in good condition

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in low-voltage, cabling, or IT field services
  • Comfort working on ladders, lifts, or rooftops (training provided)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to read and follow installation guides and site plans
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Familiarity with networking basics (IP addressing, SSIDs, VLANs) is a plus
  • Certifications (CompTIA Network+, CWNA, etc.) are a bonus, but not required

Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Public Safety DAS (ERCES)

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our ERCES team and become the front line of our sales engine. This role is designed for someone early in their career who wants to learn how to sell complex, high-impact solutions to construction, real estate, and facility decision-makers.

You’ll work closely with our senior sales, engineering, and operations teams to generate qualified leads, educate prospects, and tee up new business opportunities. This is a pathway role to Sales Executive and beyond.

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Research and identify target accounts: general contractors, developers, electrical contractors, property managers
  • Cold call, email, and LinkedIn outreach to set initial meetings
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry meetups to connect with prospects

Education & Relationship Building

  • Help prospects understand why ERCES matters and how to stay compliant with fire codes
  • Book and coordinate grid tests, site surveys, and code consultations
    Shadow senior sales and technical teams on discovery calls and site walks

Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Log activity, track leads, and manage pipeline in HubSpot (training provided)
  • Report on progress, wins, and areas for growth in weekly sales meetings

Qualifications:

Required

  • 1–3 years in sales, customer service, or construction-related fields (or a recent college grad with sales aptitude)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Grit, coachability, and a willingness to learn both technical and regulatory aspects of the job
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage your own time and hit activity targets

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to construction, fire alarm, low-voltage, or telecom industries
  • Familiarity with B2B selling, general contractors, or commercial real estate contacts
  • Interest in life-safety, public safety, or technology sales
