Operations Manager - Novi, MI

Operations

The Operations Manager is responsible for production planning, production management, inventory management, quality control, and safety issues, maintenance and replacement of test equipment, and enforcing company policies.

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 6-8 years supervisory experience in a computer networking environment, preferably in electronics system-level manufacturing (integration and test).
  • Experience in long-term planning building a network team to support company’s goals
  • Proficient with Mavenlink (project management software/procedures).
  • Experience in scheduling/prioritizing jobs; coordinating workflow, and employee activities.
  • Experience in production principles and functions.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of 10 technicians/engineers.
  • Plan and execute monthly, weekly, and daily production activities and motivate the team to accomplish those plans.
  • Supervise workflow of orders and paperwork.
  • Implement and enforce shop safety and production procedures.
  • Ensure shop equipment is properly calibrated, maintained and working properly.
  • Manage inventory for production jobs.
  • Interact w/ project management on production schedule, delegate tasks and priorities to shop technicians/engineers, monitor production processes, and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Identify employee training needs and make recommendations as to employee performance and progress.
  • Track production efficiency & on-time delivery.
  • Identify areas in need of improvement and recommend changes to policies or processes related to production, inventory control, material and resource control, quality control, and safety procedures.
  • Manage Shipping and Receiving.
  • Coordinating different teams to foster an exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities
  • Analyze departmental budgets to find ways to optimize profitability
  • Communicating with stakeholders about shifting company priorities and projects
  • Enforcing regulatory and safety standards
  • Defining, implementing and revising operational policies
  • Developing and executing new growth directives
  • Working with the human resources department to create job descriptions, hire competent personnel and oversee employee training programs
  • Collaborating with human resources to develop and implement staff evaluation parameters
  • Communicating with departmental heads to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide compliance
  • Monitoring departmental revenue margins and conducting budget reviews to maximize profits
  • Overseeing client support services
  • Assist in managing procurement and resource allocation

Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Public Safety DAS (ERCES)

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our ERCES team and become the front line of our sales engine. This role is designed for someone early in their career who wants to learn how to sell complex, high-impact solutions to construction, real estate, and facility decision-makers.

You’ll work closely with our senior sales, engineering, and operations teams to generate qualified leads, educate prospects, and tee up new business opportunities. This is a pathway role to Sales Executive and beyond.

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Research and identify target accounts: general contractors, developers, electrical contractors, property managers
  • Cold call, email, and LinkedIn outreach to set initial meetings
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry meetups to connect with prospects

Education & Relationship Building

  • Help prospects understand why ERCES matters and how to stay compliant with fire codes
  • Book and coordinate grid tests, site surveys, and code consultations
    Shadow senior sales and technical teams on discovery calls and site walks

Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Log activity, track leads, and manage pipeline in HubSpot (training provided)
  • Report on progress, wins, and areas for growth in weekly sales meetings

Qualifications:

Required

  • 1–3 years in sales, customer service, or construction-related fields (or a recent college grad with sales aptitude)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Grit, coachability, and a willingness to learn both technical and regulatory aspects of the job
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage your own time and hit activity targets

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to construction, fire alarm, low-voltage, or telecom industries
  • Familiarity with B2B selling, general contractors, or commercial real estate contacts
  • Interest in life-safety, public safety, or technology sales
